March 31: Softball, Music Makers and Internet Skills
This Thursday, we tip our hats to the fields as the softball season opens in Hauppauge.
It's opening day in Hauppauge as the girls softball team hosts their first home game of league play. But that's not all happening in the area today. Here are the five things to add to your planners today.
1. The Hauppauge girls varsity softball team will compete against Eastport-South Manor High School in their first home game of the season at 4 p.m. Let's go Eagles.
2. Hauppauge Public Library will host its Music Makers program at 4:30 p.m. for children in grades kindergarten through 2nd grade. The program combines music and dancing, giving each child their own instrument to play.
3. Learn more about using your Web browser by attending the Internet 101 class at the Hauppauge Public Library from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Call 631-979-1600 in advance to reserve a seat.
4. Check back later for our preview of the Hauppauge Eagles varsity baseball team's spring season. Meet the captains and find out what the coaches and players expect for the season.
5. Do you know a Hauppauge resident who promotes a green lifestyle? Maybe they ride their bike to work, compost trash to mulch their garden, have installed solar panels or know great ways to re-use everyday items. We would love to hear about it at Patch.
