HAUPPAUGE THEATRE STUDENTS PERFORM AT NYSUT CONVENTION IN NYC

 

Hauppauge High School’s “Stage the Change Players” performed at the opening ceremonies of the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) Convention at the New York Hilton on April 5, 2014. “The students performed in front of 3,000 delegates from all over New York State who attended the convention and received a standing ovation for their performances of monologues on peace, tolerance and diversity as well as their original piece on religious tolerance,” described Hauppauge Theatre Teacher Ruthie Pincus.

The Stage the Change Players who performed at the NYSUT Convention included: Jocelyn Aptowitz, Kristina Bartholomew, Shannon Carroll, Nick Cecchini, Sarah Jacobs, Amanda Jayne, Collin Kirdahy, Brianna O’Rourke, Eamon Phelan, Dylan Rice, Erika Seeger and Dan Smith.
