5 Events Happening This Weekend

Teens can play a live version of Angry Birds or meet former Hauppauge wrestling alumni.

It's tempting to stay at home during the cold winter nights, but for those who dare to venture outdoors there are many events happening in Hauppauge this weekend: 

* The wrestling team will host its third annual paying tribute to those wrestlers who have made their way before them, starting at 6:30 p.m. prior to their meet against Deer Park. It will be a night to reminisce the days of old in Hauppauge. 

*Do you love playing Angry Birds on your cell phone? Teens in grades 6 to 12 can make their own Angry Birds Launcher set at the on Friday at 7 p.m. Pre-Registration is required.

* The Hauppauge High School PTA and PTSA council are hosting at the high school starting at 7 p.m. No experience is necessary to play. It's $5 per person to play which goes towards scholarships for high school seniors.

* Test your skills at the card table as the Hauppauge Public Library throws its on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. No experience is necessary to play, but pre-registration is required. 

* The Smithtown Performing Arts Center will be presenting the Sound of Music this weekend with shows on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.
