5 Events Happening this Weekend

Sit down for a family movie together or cheer on the Hauppauge Eagles Wrestling team as they take aim at a tournament title.

With unseasonably warm temperatures this winter, there's no reason to sit inside the house all weekend. Here's our pick of five local events happening this weekend:

1. Gather up the family to head out to Family Movie night at the at 7 p.m. Friday. Make sure to bring your favorite snacks as well as some to share.

2. Cheer on the Hauppauge Eagles varsity wrestlers are they host the in 's gymnasium from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday. Many of Hauppauge's talented athletes are hoping to bring home league titles this year.

3. Head to the nearby Take-One Theatre Arts to watch a local production of for young children this Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

4. Young children, ages 4 and 5, may enjoy at the Nesconset branch of the Smithtown Public Library. They'll hear a story then have the chance to make their own stick puppets to continue the show.

5. This Sunday, the Suffolk Jewish Community Center in Commack will be offering a Defensive Driving Class starting at 8:45 a.m. It costs $39.95 per person, and those interested must bring their driver's license.
