5 Things to Know about Hauppauge Homecoming

Here's your handy guide to Hauppauge's homecoming activities this Saturday.

It's time to show your Hauppauge pride by donning blue and white and cheering on the home team at 's this Saturday. Here's five things to know to make sure you don't miss out on the activities.

1. The homecoming parade steps off at 3:30 p.m. The parade route will start at the administrative buildings on Hoffman Lane, head north to Townline Road, then turn left onto Lincoln Boulevard for the home stretch.

2. The Hauppauge community barbecue will begin at 4:15 p.m. immediately following the parade outside Eagle's stadium. Grab a hot dog or hamburger and show your support for the Eagle's football team.

3.  Hauppauge varsity Eagles football team will take on Walt Whitman at 5 p.m. Be sure to wear your best blue and white to show your support from the stands.

4. Don't be so quick to leave your seats during halftime. Hauppauge High School's marching band and the varsity cheerleaders will put on a special halftime show.

5. Immediately following the football game, homecoming attendees will be treated to a free firework show. It's an annual tradition at Hauppauge that brings the community together.
