Aggravated Assault, Grand Larceny Arrests In Police Reports

Weekly police blotter of crime activity in Hauppauge from the Suffolk Police Public Information Office.

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incident list for the Fourth Precinct. The following individuals are not convicted of a crime, but have been arrested on the charges. Defendants are considered innocent until convicted or proven guilty. These are the arrested and incidents from Jan. 25 – Jan. 31.

Arrests:

Michael Lombardo, 21, of Commack, was arrested Jan. 31 at 11 a.m. in Hauppauge for assault. On Jan. 18 at 2:10 a.m., Lombardo allegedly assaulted another person off of Veterans Highway, according to police reports. Police said Lombardo punched the victim numerous times.

Amarilis Marte, 24, of Flushing, was arrested Jan. 30 in Hauppauge for driving while intoxicated. Police said Marte was driving a 2000 BMW when he drove through a steady red arrow, while making a U-turn. Marte was arrested at 3:14 a.m. on Route 347. 

Richard Dequatro, 45, of Hauppauge, was arrested in Hauppauge Jan. 29 for aggravated assault. Police said around 4 p.m. Dequatro used a cell phone and texted numerous aggressive messages to another person.

Thomas Ellis, 32, of Hauppauge, was arrested in Hauppauge Jan. 28 for operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. Police arrested Ellis at 3:21 p.m. after allegedly finding Ellis sleeping in the driver's side of his vehicle while the engine was running. Ellis's 2006 Pontiac was parked off of Route 347 at the time of the arrest, according to police. 

Regina Gordon, 47, of Hauppauge, was arrested in Hauppauge Jan. 26 for criminal mischief. Gordon reportedly damaged a 2004 Acura by striking the window with the medal end of a dog leash. Police said they arrested Gordon at 4:26 a.m.

Michael Demeglio, 25, of Lake Grove, was arrested in Hauppauge on Jan. 26 for grand larceny. Police said Demeglio stole assorted jewelry from an unknown victim and sold the stolen goods to a pawn shop. Demeglio was later arrested.
