Aug. 1: Butterflies, Seafarers and Memories of Honey Hollow

Take look back at the history of Honey Hollow Elementary School as we lead up to its 50th anniversary.

This Monday, let your children explore a fantasy world of butterflies or go seafaring from the safety of the local library. Reading books can be a great way to escape the summer heat indoors, or spend a rainy afternoon as the forecast calls for showers.

2. Let your child spread the wings of their imagine at the 's from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Children entering kindergarten through second grade can listen to stories while doing butterfly crafts for free.

3. Brush up your computer skills and build your résumé with at 10 a.m. the Hauppauge Public Library. Register in advance to make sure you have a seat.
