Deadline Nears for Smithtown Leadership Program

High schoolers interested in sharpening leadership and goal planning skills can apply for the Smithtown Youth Bureau and the League of Women Voters of Smithtown Leadership in the Community program.

Any ninth, tenth, or eleventh grade student residing in Smithtown, Commack, Hauppauge, or Kings Park may apply for this program. Selected youth will build leadership skills, learn to set goals and plans, and develop presentation and communication skills.

All participants will have the opportunity to design, lead and successfully complete a project from start to finish. Application forms can be downloaded at www.smithtownny.gov/youthbureau under the winter programs tab. The application deadline has been extended to February 5, 2014.
