Decorated Christmas Trees
Take a look at how some people in Hauppauge decorate their indoor and outdoor trees.
Whether you have an elegant tree with silver and gold ornaments or a tree full of novelty ornaments and the ones the kids made in the second grade out of popsicle sticks and glue, the way we decorate our tree is unique to each family.
Have you ever asked yourself why we decorate trees for Christmas? There are a few different legends. Some would tell you we use evergreen trees to symbolize everlasting life. The star on top is meant to symbolize the star of Bethlehem, the branches pointing upward is supposed to symbolize prayers reaching for the heavens.
Whether you are celebrating Christmas or just like the idea of a tree indoors, it is a wonderful tradition that brings families together. It keep our homes beautifully lit and smelling like Christmas in December.
