Dee Snider has worked with Long Island Cares Harry Chapin Food Bank for more than a year, but had never seen its Hauppauge headquarters. So on Jan. 14, Newsday reported, the Twisted Sister frontman and Three Village resident paid the organization a visit.
“It’s really motivating to put a place and a face to your efforts,” Snider told Newsday.
Twisted Sister rocked The Emporium in Patchogue in December in a Hurricane Sandy relief concert that raised $9,000 for Long Island Cares. Also in 2012, Snider received the Harry Chapin Music Legacy Award for his work with the March of Dimes organization on its "Bikers for Babies" fundraiser ride.
