Feb. 2: Ground Hogs, Ice Storms and Heart-Shaped Ravioli

Wednesday's ice storm leaves little to no question about whether we'll be facing four more weeks of winter.

Wednesday marks the second back-to-back week Hauppauge prepares to face mother nature. Traditionally on Ground Hogs Day, resident ask whether we'll have an early spring or four more weeks of winter. It doesn't seem like we need the ground hog's prediction to know the answer this year. 

1. Hauppauge PTA Council will be holding its monthly meeting at Hauppauge High School, 6:30 p.m. 

2. Learn for your sweetheart in time for Valentine's Day at the from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.  It's perfect precursor to a quiet, candlelight Valentines Day dinner at home.

3. Sing away your winter blue at . Grab a mic and sing a song from 7 p.m. - 11 p.m.
