Feb. 21: Ice Skating, Photo Finish and African Food

There's plenty to do to keep your family busy this President's Day.

Happy President's Day. As Hauppauge public schools, Islip and Smithtown town halls and post offices are closed in recognition of this federal holiday, there are still plenty of things to do with your family. 

1. Go ice skating at during one of their President's week winterfrom noon - 5:45 p.m. The extended public skate hours allowed for plenty of time to ice skate, grab snacks and have fun.

2. Try a taste of Africa at nearby Stony Brook University's annual from 11 a.m - 1 p.m. Free samples from a wide range of traditional dishes will be available.

3. See the work of local photographers in the exhibit at the Islip Art Museum.
