Feb. 23: Moms Talk, Lego Club and Karaoke

There's plenty of winter break fun for kids and adults this Wednesday.

This Wednesday offers both students and adults a break from routine with a variety of entertaining events. Whether its making a charitable quilt for an animal or belting out your favorite song, there are many ways to get creative and showcase your talents. 

1.  Students enjoying mid-winter recess can volunteer for their furry friends at 's at 12:30 p.m. Students in grades 6 - 12 can volunteer their time to making a quilt for a shelter animal to add a homey touch to their cages. 

2. Feeling creative, but not into making quilts? The  from 4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. at the Hauppauge Public Library gives students in second grade and older the chance to build whatever they can dream.

3.  Sing  to your heart’s desire at b’s from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.

4.  Check Hauppauge Patch at 1 p.m. for Moms Talk Q&A. As gas prices keep rising and mid-winter recess is one step closer to spring break, followed by the summer, Patch is talking about the impact of gasoline prices and nearby ‘Staycations” for Hauppauge families. Comment to share your ideas.
