Feb. 28: Live-Brary, Gas Prices and Going Green

Monday tackles two major issues: rising gas prices while looking at green technology.

This Monday is the last day of February. It's back to business as Hauppauge community and Patch take a hard look at two of the key issues of today. 

1. Hauppauge Industrial Association's  will be holding a meeting this morning at 10:30 a.m.  Topics on the agenda include Suffolk County's first Gold LEED certified building, and its in our neighborhood. Find out where on Patch this evening.

3.  This week marks the . It offers students the chance to purchase educational reading materials at a discounted costs. 

4. Feeling Gas Prices at the pump? Patch will report on gas prices, at the pump and home heating fuels, in Hauppauge area later this afternoon.

5. Are you a Hauppauge Mom who others turn to for advice? Join Hauppauge Patch's Moms Council. We are looking for two or three moms (or dads) to join our council to talk about issues related to raising children in Hauppauge, being a parent and local school communities.
