Gas Guide: Prices Continue to Fall In Holiday Season

Checking Patch's weekly guide to local gas prices can help you save as much as 44 cents a gallon for 87-octane fuel.
Gas prices have continued to drop in Hauppauge this week despite the start of the holiday travel season. Several gas stations in the area saw double-digit drops as the price per gallon of 87-octane began to drop below the $3.50 mark.
Sunoco gas station on Motor Parkway has the lowest price per gallon of fuel at $3.45. Gulf and Mobil gas stations on Wheeler Road, on the Long Island Expressway service roads off Exit 56, have the highest prices in the Hauppauge area.
