Get Out: Irish Pipers, Live Music and Scavenger Hunts

A selection of events happening around Hauppauge this weekend.

Looking to plan something fun for the weekend? Whether you are looking for live music, happy hour or karaoke, Hauppauge has something on the calendar for you.

1.
When/Where
: This Friday at  9 p.m. at .
Why: What better way to spend your Friday night than dinner, drinks and dancing? Enjoy live music by one of Long Island's favorite doo wop group, The Acchords.
Pricing: No cover charge. 

2. Where/When: Nissequogue River State Park on March 5 from 2 - 3:30 p.m. 
Why Go: It's an opportunity to get the entire family outdoors and working together in the spirit of playful competition, utilizing their five senses on a scavenger hunt. 
Pricing: $4 per adult, $3 per child, $8 parking fee.

3. When/Where: Saturday at 8 p.m. at Stony Brook's Staller Center for The Arts.Why: Linda Elder, a famed contemporary artist who has appeared on Broadway, will take the stage at Stony Brook. Eder's diverse career has included a lead role in Jekyll and Hyde, and a successful recording streak. Don't miss your chance to see her right here in your hometown.
Pricing: $42

When/Where: Saturday night at 9 p.m. at Silk Ultra Lounge.
Why: Silk Ultra Lounge provides Hauppauge with a hot nightlife spot and great live music by well known DJs. Drink specials are running all night. What else could you need for the weekend?
