Get Out on April 22-24: Egg Hunt, Spring Festival and Sports

Grab the family and head out to one of these local events this weekend.

There are a variety of events for adults and families happening in Hauppauge this weekend. From egg hunts to sporting events, Patch has a few suggestions to liven up your weekend.

1. When/Where: The Eagles boys varsity lacrosse team will travel to play against Smithtown East on Saturday at 9 a.m.
Why Go: Get the family together to cheer on one of Hauppauge's athletic teams. It is an opportunity for younger players to watch the game played at a higher skill level.
Pricing: It's free.

2.
When/Where: Be on the lookout for candy-filled Easter eggs Saturday at Commack United Methodist Church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Why: Celebrate Easter with your children with a traditional egg hunt this Saturday. Create family memories together by hunting for these bright plastic eggs filled with candy.
Pricing: It's free, but all children are requested to bring a basket with six candy-filled, plastic eggs. Call 631-499-7310 to reserve a spot.

3.
When/Where:
Watch the Lady Eagles varsity softball team play at at 11 a.m on Saturday.
Why:
Head down to cheer on the Lady Eagles at this community sporting event. It's likely to be a close game as Hauppauge is 6-2 in League V, while Shoreham-Wading River has a 6-3 record. 
Price:
There's no cost to attend.

4.
When/Where: Celebrate the arrival of spring on Saturday at the Sweetbriar Nature Center in Smithtown at 1p.m.
Why: The festival has a variety of outdoor activities to keep your child busy including egg hunts, animal exhibits, arts and crafts, and other Easter-related activities.  
Price: Admission is $7 per person.

5.
When/Where:
Hear a live jazz performance at from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.  on Saturday. 
Why: Kick back and relax over cocktails while listening to a live jazz performance at The Grill Room. It's a chance to mingle with friends or eat dinner without the children.
Pricing: No cover charge for the performance. Food and drinks are available for purchase.
