Get Rid of Your E-Waste

Hauppauge School District collecting old electronics from Oct. 24 to Oct. 28 free of charge.

Have an old computer or computer monitor laying that you want to get rid of. Make a trip to one of Hauppauge Public Schools to drop it off as part of E-Waste Week. 

Hauppauge Public Schools will be collecting old electronics from Oct. 24 to Oct. 28 free of charge. Residents can drop off:

  • computer monitors
  • printers
  • scanners
  • laptops
  • cell phones
  • televisions
  • stereo equipment
  • modems
  • peripherals
  • DVD, CD players
  • fax machines
  • PDAs
  • microwaves

Other household electronic goods are welcome to be dropped off as well.

Residents can leave any of these items at one of five locations in the district:

  • , 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Leave items near the rear of the building near the overhead door. 
  • , 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Drop off electronics near the south entrance to the rear, near the custodial entrance. 
  • Pines Elementary School, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Leave items near the garbage containers outside the cafeteria. 
  • , 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Leave electronics near
  • , 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Drop off items on the north side of the building, near the cafeteria.
