Grab & Go Kids Planner: Battle of the Books, Bingo and Comedy

Activities to keep your children busy around Hauppauge from March 9 - 15.

This week Hauppauge Patch has found a great selection of family-friendly events to enjoy with your children from March 9 - March 15. Pick and choose from storytime, bingo night, trivia and more.

Where/When: Hauppauge Public Library; March 10 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Older children in grades 9-12 will compete in a trivia contest about the three books against other libraries from Suffolk County. Not only is it educational for the teens, but it is a fun-filled, entertaining night for the whole family.

Where/When: Smithtown Public Library, March 10 from 2 - 2:30 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy an afternoon of fun for you and your child (age 3). The event will feature singing, rhyming and storytelling.

Why Go: Parents and their children are invited to the middle school for a night of family fun and bingo.

When/Where: at Hidden Pond Park on Saturday,  10 a.m. - 2 p.m.. 
Why Go:  Looking for a summer camp for your child that's close to home? Take a tour of the facilities with your child and their friends to learn about the camp, its programs, and meet staff and directors. 
Pricing: The open house is free, day camp costs vary based on program and dates. 

Where/When: Hauppauge Public Library; March 13 at 2 p.m.
Why Go: 
A Long Island University staff member will host an educational program on the history of comedy for children and adults alike.
