Grab & Go Kids Planner: Beauty and The Beast, Hockey and Storytime

Indulge in the many events around Hauppauge this week.

This week Hauppauge Patch has found a wide range of family-friendly events to enjoy with your children from Feb. 9 - 15. Pick from a live Disney classic, a night at the circus, storytime, ice hockey and Valentine's Day festivities.

Where/When: On Thursday, 2 p.m. at the Smithtown Public Library's Main Branch. 

Why Go: Terrific Threes Storytime is the perfect place for you and your three-year old to enjoy some quality time together, and meet other families in the area. Engage in an afternoon filled with singing, rhyming and storytelling.
Pricing: Free 

When/Where: Smithtown Center for the Performing Arts on Feb. 11 at 7 p.m.
Why Go: Bring the whole family to enjoy this Disney classic live on stage. For just $15 a ticket, it is definitely affordable for all.
Pricing: $15

Where/When: On Saturday, Feb. 12 at Stony Brook University's Staller Center for the Arts at 8 p.m.
Why Go: Cirque Eloize's "iD" is a perfect night out for the entire family. The unique experience includes a mix of break dancing, hip-hop and theatre.
Pricing: $38

START OF RINX YOUTH HOCKEY HOUSE LEAGUEWhere/When:  The program starts this Saturday at in Hauppauge. Times vary with age group. All players must register with USA Hockey League prior to Saturday.
Why Go: The Rinx of Hauppauge's Winter/Spring Youth League is a great activity for kids of all ages. Professionally trained coaches help your children develop their ice hockey and sportsmanship skills as they play with teammates in their age group.
Pricing: Registration ranges from $375 to $495, based on age group. Price includes three team practices and 15 games for the season.

Where/When: On Monday at the Hauppauge Public Library from 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Why Go: Think Pink! is the perfect way for the kids to end their Valentines Day celebrations. Dress in pink and enjoy Valentines stories with festive snacks.
