Grab & Go: Kids Planner: Yoga, Crafts and Winter Recess Fun

Take advantage of the many events around Hauppauge this week.

This week Hauppauge Patch has found a great selection of family-friendly events to enjoy with your children from Feb. 15 - 22. Pick and choose from winter recess skating, legos, a craft festival, yoga and more.

Where/When: On Wednesday, 4:30 p.m. at the Smithtown-Nesconset Library.
Why Go: The library's Lego Club gives kids, generally grades two and up, a great outlet for their creativity while making new friends.
Pricing: Free 

When/Where: On Saturday, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Smithtown Public Library.
Why Go: Looking for something different to do on the weekends? Head down to the Smithtown Public Library for full day of fun crafts. 
Pricing: In such a tough economy, Creation Station offers something fun for any budget; it's free!

Where/When: On Saturday, 11 a.m. at Border's Books and Music in Stony Brook.
Why Go: StoryTime Yoga combines stories, singing and yoga for young kids. What could be better? A fun, free and healthy time!
Pricing: Free

Where/When:  Feb. 20 - 25 at  from noon - 5:45 p.m.
Why Go: The Rinx of Hauppauge is great for kids and adults of all ages. There's no better activity for families to indulge in while off from school and work.
Pricing: $7.50 - $10

Where/When: On  Feb. 22, from 10 a.m. - noon at the Hauppauge Public Library.
Why Go: The Winter Craft Festival is designed  for students grades 6-12 to volunteer and help younger children work on winter arts and crafts. For younger children, the craft fair is a creative way to spend winter vacation.
