More than 200 local gun rights advocates took to the street in July at the H. Lee Dennison Building in Hauppauge to rally against New York State’s latest gun regulations.

Hauppauge HS Named NYS Reward School for Second Time

For the second year in a row, Hauppauge High School is designated as a New York State Reward School by New York State Commissioner John B. King, Jr. Hauppauge was one of 87 high schools designated for the 2012-2013 academic year. 

Driver Dies After Crashing into Hauppauge Building

A driver was fatally injured one July morning in Hauppauge, after crashing into a brick building. According to police, Peter Fedden was operating a 2008 Honda eastbound on Commerce Drive when he failed to stop at an intersection and crashed into a building, located at 159 Adams Blvd. at approximately 12:10 a.m.

$1M Winning Lottery Ticket Purchased at Islandia BJ's

A Centereach woman is the lucky winner of scratch-off ticket that was recently purchased in Islandia. Pamela Dyber, 56,of Centereach, won the $1 million top prize on the the New York Gold scratch-off game from a ticket purchased at BJ’s Wholesale Club on Old Nichols Road in Islandia.

Hauppauge Seniors Celebrate Graduation

The Hauppauge 2012-13 school year was marked with a superstorm, blizzard and a devastating tragedy just a state away, but on graduation day, the sun was shining and blue skies were a symbol of the students' strength as they move onto the next chapter in their lives.
