Hauppauge Allstate Agent Wins Community Award

Jay Dubin donated the $1,000 prize to Long Island Charities Foundation.

Hauppauge Allstate Agent Jay Dubin has been awarded the Agency Hands in the Community Award for his commitment to volunteerism by the Allstate Foundation.

“Jay is an active and respected member of the business community, protecting people with insurance and financial services products,” said Larry Sedillo, assistant field vice president at Allstate Insurance Company, in a statement. “He also makes a point of getting involved personally by dedicating his time and efforts to making a difference in people’s lives.

The award came with a $1,000 grant that Dubin donated to the Long Island Charities Foundation in Melville. The Long Island Charities Foundation is a nonprofit agency that organizes fund raising events to benefit other local charities. It has given more than $4 million to groups including the American Cancer Society, the Boy Scouts of America, ,  the American Lung Association, Make-A-Wish Foundation and others, according to their website.

Dubin was also previous named an by Allstate Insurance Company in October 2010.
