Hauppauge-to-Southampton Porsche Rally Peels Out of Town

Enthusiast owners of the swank German sports cars took part in the 150-mile rally.

The purr of finely tuned automobile engines could be heard from Hauppauge to Southampton on Sunday, when the 57th annual Snowflake Rally raced through much of Suffolk County.

The rally, which started at Hauppauge's Palace Diner at ended at the Southampton Publick House, saw 40 drivers and their partner navigators take part, according to Newsday.

The race isn't so much about speed, as it is about hitting various checkpoints within a set time limit.
