Hiring in Hauppauge: Software Architect, Executive Assistant

Siemen, Spellman, and Tyco are among the employers hiring this week.

Hauppauge is home to the second largest industrial park in the nation, with corporate complexes lining Veterans Memorial Highway and plenty of mom-and-pop shops. With so many local businesses, there's always an employer looking to hire.

Siemens Industry
*Position: 
Software Architect
*Description: Siemens Industry is looking to hire an software architect to handle the company's integrated hardware and software technology. The software architect's job responsibilities would include building new software, leading a design team and increasing company sales.
*Requirements: Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in either computer engineering or electrical engineering. All applicants must have a minimum of eight years previous experience.

Spellman
*Position: Executive Assistant
*Description: Spellman, a voltage electronics company, is searching for an executive assistant for their Hauppauge office. The assistants duties will include: creating presentation materials, writing proofs, contributing to the president and vice president of the company, and creating reference documents.
*Requirements: Applicants should have at least a bachelor's degree in business or technology. Applicants should have a minimum five years previous administrative experience with strong project management skills.

Tyco
*Position: Inspector
*Description: Tyco is looking for a new inspector in their Hauppauge office. The primary responsibility of an inspector is meeting customers expectations while performing inspections. All inspections would include testing, servicing, and other maintenance of the SimplexGrinnell life safety line products.
*Requirements: Applicants should have at least two years experience working with low voltage electrical systems. Applicants must be comfortable lifting up to 40 pounds at a time. A high school diploma is required with a college degree preferred.
