Homeowner Speaks On Family House On The Market

Hauppauge homeowner shares features of Evergreen Ave house for sale, with two latest homes to hit local real estate market.

Featured this week in Hauppauge's real estate is 416 Evergreen Ave. This ranch is listed at the asking price of $399,000 within the Hauppauge school district by the Multiple Listing Service of Long Island. 

"They [the homeowners] have been there 37 years. The house was originally built in 1962, so I think they are the second owners. When they were just moving in the golf course was just being built," said Michael Scarito, realtor of the property. 

Scarito said the major reason you should consider this house would be the possibility of expanding the house, the school district, extremely low taxes (listed at $6,212), and the gorgeous views of the golf course.

"It's definitely for a family, particular the property. We have raised three kids here and they just had a blast. There are tons of room to play. It was just a great environment for them to grow up. It was safe," said homeowner Viola Persia. 

The house is listed as having three bedrooms, two full baths, but Persia said the floorplan and design allows for more flexibility.

"There is a den that really could be a bedroom or a guest room. There is a kitchen and dining room combined," she said.

Scarito said there are a number of features included in the house.

"They have a front porch, a  sun room, a back deck with an awing to relax in the large backyard," he said.  "They also have a small fish pond, a one-car garage detached on the property, and technically they have a circular driveway that goes around the entire house."
