I Spy: Loving Our Pets

Grab your camera and find out how you can participate in this week's contest.

Beloved pets are members of the family. There's no doubt about the strong relationship that can develop with a pet who is there to great you when you come home, play in the yard and gives love and affection for a petting.

Last week, Hauppauge Patch announced its first "I Spy" contest based that puts a twist on the children's guessing game. Our contest asking local pet owners to share their photos of their beloved pets. Sheri Tesoriero of Smithtown was the winner, sending in a lovely photo of her and her cat sharing a moment together.

Congratulations to Tesoriero, who has won a reusable hemp tote bag, a stainless steel water bottle and other goods.

For those who are up to the challenge, this week's assignment is "Signs." We would love to see your photos of the most creative signs around Hauppauge. Whether it's a unique road sign that needs interpretation, a colorful sign for an event, or someone holding a congratulation sign at a graduation ceremony, we want to see them.

Send your photos of unique and colorful signs in Hauppauge, Nesconset and Lake Grove to sara-megan.walsh@patch.com by Friday for a chance to win.
