Jan. 1: Happy New Year, Ringing in 2011

Celebrate the new year with resolutions, reflecting on the past while moving forward.

Happy New Year from all of us here at Hauppauge Patch. Last night was a time to celebrate with family and friends gathered closed, reflecting on 2010 before raising a toast to what lies ahead.

1. Celebrate the new year with fun seasonal activities at the Town of Islip's  at the nearby Ronkonkoma Recreational Center from noon - 8 p.m. Participate in winter crafts and activities including snowman making. It's an outing for the entire family.

2. In recognition of New Year's Day, and local post offices will be closed.
