Jan. 15: Juried Photography, Sledding and Eagles Scoreboard

Saturday mixes indoor arts gallery and outdoor snow activities to create fun for all.

This Saturday offers a mix of indoor arts, sports and plenty of snow remains from Wednesday's storm for winter fun. Have creative ideas on how to enjoy the snow, e-mail the editor at sara-megan.walsh@patch.com to share. 

1. Take a trip to Smithtown Township Arts Council's Main street gallery to enjoy the opening reception of the y from 2 -4 p.m. It was postponed due to icy roads and weather, for your enjoyment this weekend. 

2. Travel to cheer on  as they take their routine to a Huntington competition at 10 a.m. Let's go Eagles, that's the spirit.

3.  There's plenty of snow on the ground to enjoy some winter activities including snowball fights, making a snowmen and sledding at l or Nesconset Park.

5. You heard it first on Patch: , a wine and liquor store formerly across from Hauppauge Fire Department, has moved down Route 111 to a new storefront next to Branchinelli's. It just happened, many bottles are just being unpacked from boxes. Patch will have the full details on the move next week.
