Jan. 7: Wrestling Alumni Night, Book Buddies and Sports Round-up

Snow threatens this Friday's events, which aim to bring the community together.

Friday packs community events bringing together different ages and generations for a host of indoor fun, if the snow holds out. Stay tuned on Patch for your updates. 

1. Cheer on  as they host Harborfields at 6:30 p.m. on the second annual alumni nigh at l. The Eagles will welcome former team members back to fly championship flags and remember the glory days. 

2. 's  program encourages children ages 3 through third grade to enjoy reading by pairing them with an older reading partner, from 5 -6 p.m.

3. Town of Smithtown residents can help foster a love of reading in their children through  at Smithtown Public Library's Main Branch. The program features arts and stories for children ages 3-5 . 

4. Miss Hauppauge High School's boys swimming team or the girls basketball this Tuesday? Check Patch's first Sports Scoreboard featuring a round-up of all the varsity competitions this week.
