July 12: Battles of the Books and a Free Concert

Hauppauge residents can find literary and musical pleasure on Tuesday.

This Tuesday, Hauppauge residents can choose whether to enjoy the written words of a book or enjoy listening to a live concert. Just find a way to stay cool during the heat wave.

1. Teens entering grades 6 to 9 can challenge themselves by entering the 's rom 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Read as many of the eight books listed as possible, and see what details you can remember.

2. The Hauppauge Public Schools will host its annual organization meeting at the formerat 8 p.m. District officials will be voted and sworn into office followed by a business discussions. Read the full agenda here.
