July 7: Two Concerts To Jump Start Your Weekend

The Hauppauge Public Library and Hoyt Farm host evening performances sure to draw a crowd.

This Friday, gather up the family and head out to one of two local concerts to kick back, listen to live music and jump start your weekend. 

Here's our top five picks this Friday: 

1. Go on an exciting African adventure at the  as Jack and Annie lead will help children to create their own safari scene at the  at 1 p.m. This program is for children entering kindergarten through fifth grade.

2. The Hauppauge Public Library will kick off its 2011 Summer Concert Series with the   at 7 p.m. The concert will be held outdoors in the parking lot, weather permitting, so bring a chair. 

3. If you're looking for a younger crowd, DJ Didi Maxx will spin a free  at the nearby Hoyt Farm from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. It's a fun and safe evening for families with young children.
