March 4: Nocturnal Wanderings, Powerplay and Bars

Kick off the weekend with family-friendly activities or live music.

Kick off the start of the weekend this Friday with a variety of activities for all ages. Whether the family comes together for a scavenger hunt or you head out to enjoy live music, get ready to kick back and relax. 

1. Head to 's   program from 10 a.m.  - 10:30 a.m. It's designed to help share the joy of reading with children around one year in age. 

2. Bring your entire family out for a  at the nearby Sweet Briar Nature Center. From 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., a natural professional will teach about nocturnal creatures before you are set loose to find owls on the property.

3. Want to kick up your heels or hit the dance floor to live music? See perform at The Grill Room or hear du wop from  at the  starting at 9 p.m. It's a difficult choice. 

4. Bar goers may have seen there's some changes in a Hauppauge favorite off Route 347, as the Eagle's Pub has been transformed. Patch will report on that will more changes to come this afternoon.
