Mom's Talk ... Best Spring Activities

New feature allows Sachem community mom's to comment and chat.

Moms Talk is a new feature on Sachem Patch that is part of a new initiative on our Patch sites to reach out to moms and families.

Sachem Patch invites you and your circle of friends to help build a community of support for mothers and their families right here in the Sachem community.

Each week in Moms Talk, our Moms Council of experts and smart moms take your questions, give advice and share solutions.

This Week’s Topic: Spring is right around the corner and the Sachem community has many great places for family-friendly outdoor activities. What are you most looking forward to doing with your family once warm weather rolls around? What's the best outdoors thing to do in Sachem with kids?

After this winter I am so excited to just be outside! I can't wait for the summer - the beach, Fire Island, parades, BBQing....

I couldn't agree more Jessica! I am going to love being outdoors as much as possible. I love walking at the Holtsville Ecology Park while my son rides his bike or scooter. I am looking forward to the start of baseball and soccer seasons. I love going down to Corey Beach in Bayport with my son after work just to enjoy the fun in the sand and breathing in the salt air. I look forward to block parties, picnics, field day at Waverly, family day at Boomers. There are just so many fun things to look forward to with the warm weather that the activity doesn't have to be grand just together with family and friends. I hope the spring and summer goes very slowly because it has been a very long winter.
