Nesconset Resident Runner-Up in Miss Long Island Contest

Dana Wachter of Nesconset was named 4th runner-up.

Dana Wachter of Nesconset was named 4th runner-up in the Miss Long Island 2014 Sunday in Patchogue.

In all, 37 young women competed for the titles of Miss Long Island and Miss Long Island Teen 2014. 

Michelle Medoff of Great Neck was crowned Miss Long Island and Sabrina Franza of Oceanside was selected Miss Long Island Teen 2014.

Medoff and Franza will make their first official appearance Monday at Island Hills Golf & Country Club in Sayville at the Queens and Greens golf outing which will raise funds for the not-for-profit Long Island organization Hope for Youth, chaired by the outgoing Miss Long Island Jessi Ricco of Westbury.

The two winners will advance to Donald Trump’s New York USA 2014 Pageant in January.

Medoff, 21, was also named Miss Photogenic at the pageant.

Other Miss Long Island finalists included 1st runner-up, Robin Bonner of Westhampton; 2nd runner-up,  Melissa Ocampo of Levittown; 3rd Runner-up, Laura Marciano of Glen Cove; and 4th Runner-up, Dana Wachter of Nesconset.
