Nesconset Summer Concert Series Starts

The sixth annual Nesconset Summer Concert Series is kicking off.

The series starts July 2.

Sponsored by the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce and Legis. John Kennedy Jr., R-Nesconset, residents can watch six free concerts on Tuesday nights at 7:30 p.m. in July and August.

This year’s concert series are promised to be bigger than before with three new acts and dates added.

Attendees are asked to bring nonperishable food items for donation to Long Island Cares, The Harry Chapin Food Bank. Call Legislator Kennedy’s office at 631-854-3735 with any questions concerning the concert series

July 2 - Songs in the Attic

A musical tribute to Long Island's own "Piano Man" Billy Joel

July 9- That 70’s Band

A premier 70’s show act in the tri-state area. Audiences have been packing dance floors since 2005 to hear the very best sounds of the 1970’s from Earth, Wind and Fire and Kool and The Gang to Chic and Donna Summer.

July 16 - Dec8dia

Performing all the great hits of the 80's

July 30 - 45RPM

Come on and get happy as you listen to all the 1970's hits you heard on your AM radio like "The Night Chicago Died" and “Billy Don't Be A Hero”

August 6 Desert Highway

Performing all the great hits of The Eagles

August 13 Just Groovin'

Dance the night away to all the best dance music from the 70's to today.
