Nov. 11: It's Veterans Day
Thursday events honor military personnel for their service.
Thursday is Veterans Day. It's a day to honor those who have served in the United States military. Arbors Assisted Living residents will welcome home a soldier. 1. The Arbors Assisted Living veterans will be welcoming home a returning soldier at 1 p.m. Patch will be there, with veterans' stories on their years in the service.
2. Smithtown Veterans of Foreign Wars will hold a Veterans Day Ceremony at Veterans Plaza starting at 1 p.m. Featured speakers will include New York State Sen. Mike Flanagan, Assemblyman Michael Fitzpatrick and Suffolk County Legis. John Kennedy Jr.
