Nov. 21: Doo Wop, Jungle Gyms and Graphic Novels

This Sunday offers both classes and shows in a variety of offbeat topics from Doo Wop to human jungle gyms. Of course, teens can spend the day relaxing with a graphic novel to earn community services hours. Want to know how, read on.

1.  What exactly is Doo Wop? Learn about this music style's roots at  at , 2 p.m. Sponsored by New York Council for the Humanities, this musical class is open to all.

2.  perform at the nearby Staller Center of Stony Brook University, 4 p.m. Galumpha is an international performance group who combines acrobatics, striking visual effects, physical comedy and the inventive choreography for a stunning show.

3.  Do you like comics? Check Patch later today to learn how teens can earn community service hours by giving the review of the American Library Association's top graphic novels through Hauppauge Public Library.
