Patch Reader Melissa M. shared her personal experience in a comment on our article "Officials to Unveil Suggested Changes For Smithtown Boulevard":

I think its about time, we live on Smithtown Blvd in the co-ops at the Terry Rd intersection and the number of accidents and excessive speed is SO dangerous. On more than one occasion we have actual had cars end up ON our lawn, which is such danger for us outside on the lawn of our own homes with our children or just walking to our front door. Its a welcomed change if you ask me, even if its means a year of construction right outside my front door.

This comment shares a personal experience that helps others understand why construction is being considered.

Blog Poster of the Week
