Patch Picks: Places to Celebrate Passover and Easter

Your guide to when and where services are being held in Hauppauge.

In the rush to prepare for Passover and Easter Sunday this week, it can seem easy to lose track of the holidays' religious meaning. So prepare ahead by finding a church or temple that is holding a religious services that fits into your busy schedule.

Places to celebrate Passover or Easter:

* - The Calvary Lutheran Church is holding Easter services that are open to the public at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. Each service will include prayers, communion and an Easter sermon.

* St. Thomas More Parish has multiple Easter masses. The church will hold four Masses on Sunday at: 8 a.m., 9:15 a.m., 10:45 a.m., and 12:15 p.m. All are welcome.

- Temple Beth Chai has Shabbat services on Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 9:30 a.m. that are open to the public. Membership is required for regular attendance.

*Temple Beth David (Commack) - The temple will hold Shabbat services Friday at 8 p.m. Congregation members said anyone is welcome to come to the Shabbat this Friday to reflect on Passover.

*First Presbyterian Church of Smithtown (Smithtown) - The church will hold services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Easter Sunday with communion. A sermon specific to Easter Sunday will be given.
