PHOTO: Courtney Sipes Memorial Foundation Gives Scholarships to Seniors

Four recent Hauppauge High School graduate receive scholarships to pursue their dreams.

 

The Courtney Sipes Memorial Foundation was able to grant four recent Hauppauge High School graduates seniors scholarships in memory of their late daughter. 

The Courtney Sipes Memorial Foundation gave out scholarships to Hauppauge's Class of 2012 graduates Erika Curcio, Candice Goldberg, Justin Lippmann, Alexandria Merrell to help them to continue to pursue their musical and artistic dreams.

"The recipients this year have demonstrated impressive musical or artistic talents, have excelled academically, and have served their community through many endeavors. We are happy to help them all pursue their dreams, in memory and honor of Courtney," wrote the Sipes family, in a statement. 

Tracy and Laverna Sipes, along with son Cameron, created the Courtney Sipes Memorial Foundation in memory of their 11-year-old daughter, who . The nonprofit organization's mission is to support children pursuing their passions in music or art, as well as improve the pedestrian safety, particularly where children are at risk.
