PHOTOS: Neighbors Host Second Annual Tree Lighting

Hauppauge neighbors light 35-foot tall tree for the second year, after inspiring feedback.

 

Two Hauppauge neighbors joined together to host the second annual Christmas tree lighting to herald the start of the hoilday season on Saturday. 

Joe Calvacca and Henry Difranco, residents of Atlantic Place, held a Christmas tree lighting ceremony featuring a 35-foot tall tree decked with thousbands of lights for family, friends and local residents on Saturday.

The pair first decorated the tree in 2011, creating a seasonal sensation in the Hauppauge neighborhood that became a drive-by destination for many local residents.
