Second Boy Accuses Walmart Employee Arrested on Sex Abuse Charge of Molesting, Raping Him
A Walmart employee accused of sexually abusing a 5-year-old boy in a bathroom at the Islandia store last month is facing life in prison after a second alleged victim came forward with similar allegations. 

Matthew S. Bulmer, a 22-year-old Islip Terrace man, repeatedly sexually abused a boy for six years until he was arrested on the Walmart case on Oct. 19, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.

Plans Approved for New 7-Eleven on Gibbs Pond Road
A Bay Shore developer has gotten approval to raze a local eyesore to construct a new 7-Eleven on Gibbs Pond Road. 

Smithtown Town Board voted to unanimously approve site plans to construct a 7-Eleven in Nesconset, on the northwest corner of Gibbs Pond Road and Smithtown Boulevard intersection.

Resolution Calls on County to End Contract with Homeless Shelter
A resolution being introduced by Suffolk Legis. John M. Kennedy Jr. said that a homeless shelter in Hauppauge is exceeding the amount of families it is allowed to house and is asked that the contract between the county and the shelter’s operator be terminated. That resolution was tabled for further discussion at another date.
