Sept. 15: Two Important Board Meetings

This Thursday, two different organizations in Hauppauge will be holding board meetings to discuss issues and future actions. All meetings are open to the public so that residents can voice their opinions.

Here's our top five picks:

1. Get your children interested in book and reading at Barnes & Noble's at 10 a.m. It's free to attend,and lets your child explore another world.

2. The Hauppauge boys soccer team will host Eastport in their home season opener at ,  4 p.m. Let's go Eagles.

3. Board of Trustees will hold their monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Call the library in advance at 631-979-1600 to find out what subjects will be discussed.

4. The Town of Smithtown announced it will hold a public hearing on the in Hauppauge's hopes to expand with a second building at its 7 p.m. board meeting. Check Patch for updates on whether it is still on the agenda, and updates on the project.
