There are new eye-catching bursts of color popping up along Smithtown Boulevard.
The Nesconset Chamber of Commerce has placed hanging flower baskets on its newly installed street lights. More flowers will be hung in the coming weeks, according to chamber members.
The street lights, mounted with patriotic banners, are part of the chamber's ongoing efforts to beautify its downtown shopping district and attract more visitors.
