Help Wanted: Staples, Sears Are Hiring

Hauppauge is home to the second largest industrial park in the nation, with corporate complexes lining Veterans Memorial Highway and 'mom and pop' shops that are essential to daily life. With so many local businesses, there's always an employer looking to hire, a job opening that needs to be filled.

 Staples, Sears and Waldbaum's are among the employers hiring this week.

• Position: Inventory Associate 
• Description: Staples specializes in office supplies, school supplies and other equipment. Staples has an opening for an inventory associate in their Hauppauge locations. The associate would be responsible for handing customer service problems, dealing with the stock, and helping out with all of the different departments in the store. 
• Requirements: A high school diploma is required, having a college degree is a plus. All applicants should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Canddiates must be comfortable working and adhering to all the Staples protocols.

• Position: Assistant Manager
• Description: Sears is in need of an assistant manager for their Hauppauge store. A manager has their hands in all aspects of the store. The position requires being comfortable helping out anywhere within the company. Managers need to be able to keep a positive work environment and make sure the overall flow of the store remains as efficient as possible. 
• Requirements: All applicants must be comfortable in the leadership position. Managers need to be able to multi-task and constantly think on their feet. High School diploma/GED is required.

• Position: Grocery Clerk 
• Description: Waldbaums is looking for a new grocery clerk in their Hauppauge location. A major tool a clerk must possess is the ability to deal with customers on a daily basis. All grocery clerks have to handle and manage the customers, money, products/goods, and stocking. Grocery clerks help the customers throughout the store, work with the inventory, and clean up when necessary. 
• Requirements: Applicants must have a high school degree. All applicants need to be comfortable lifting heavy packages and dealing with customers. Candidates must have good communication skills.
