Suffolk County Crime Lab, FedEx In Hauppauge Are Hiring

Hauppauge is home to the second largest industrial park in the nation, with corporate complexes lining Veterans Memorial Highway and 'mom and pop' shops that are essential to daily life. With so many local businesses, there's always an employer looking to hire, a job opening that needs to be filled.

Big Apple Pet Supply, Suffolk County Crime Lab, and FedEx are among the employers hiring this week. 

• Position: Part-Time Assistant 
• Description: Big Apple Pet Supply is a family own business specializing in e-commerce pet supplies. Big Apple Pet Supply supply items for dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, and other small animals. They are currently looking for a part-time assistant (25 hours per week) to help out with orders, inventorY ns additional administrative tasks. 
• Requirements: Applicants must be organized, be confident on the computer, be able to lift heavy packages (up to 30 lbs), and be comfortable taking customers orders. All candidates must live in the Nassau/Suffolk area.

Suffolk County Crime Lab

• Position: Forensic Scientist 
• Description: Suffolk County Crime Lab's Hauppauge office is currently looking for a new forensic scientist. The forensic scientist will be in-charge of performing DNA analysis, handling all incoming physical evidence and participating in criminal trials as an expert witness. 
• Requirements: Applicants must have a bachelor of science degree in either Biology, Forensics, or a related field; having a masters degree is a plus. Candidates must also have at least two years case work in a laboratory. All applicants must be comfortable testifying in court cases.

• Positon: Customer Service Associate 
• Description: FedEx in Hauppauge are looking for a new customer service associate to help out around the office. The associate will be responsible for taking customer service orders, sorting/collating paperwork, handling money and working with various equipment. 
• Requirements: Applicants must have a high school diploma, good communication skills and must meet all Fedex employment qualifications. Candidates must be comfortable lifting up to 55 lbs, standing during long shifts and working with various customers.
