Vulgar Graffiti Mars Abandoned Home [Empty in Hauppauge]

Have you noticed abandoned residential home at 812 Wheeler Road in Hauppauge. Is it the town's biggest eyesore?

An abandoned home on Route 111/Wheeler Road would be drawing attending for its vulgar graffiti, if the overgrown bushes weren't hiding it.

At 812 Wheeler Road, a small single-family residence is sandwhiched between Five Guys and and Moloney Funeral Home. Wooden boards posted over the windows are slowly decaying as X's.

However, vulgar slang and obscenities are boldly spraypainted in white, blues and greens across the back of the building. There are painted hearts, stars, tags and curse words.

The doors and basement windows have been broken in either by animals or people, it's not clear which. There are broken glass bottles, empty fast food wrappers and cups that show people have been in the yard recently.

The property falls within the Islip Town side of Hauppauge, but a town spokesman said there are no plans filed for future development on the site.
