Farmers Market Coming to Hauppauge
Teachers Federal Credit Union will host a farmers market at its Hauppauge headquarters, at 102 Motor Parkway, starting June 6.

Partnering with the Long Island Growers Market, TFCU will host about 15 vendors offering locally grown produce, baked goods, james and jellies, freshly made crepes, yogurt, seafood and more.

SCOPE Pre-K Coming to Hauppauge Schools

Hauppauge School District will start preschool education classes for children ages three and four for the 2013-14 school year through the SCOPE program at the Whiporwil School.  

Hauppauge Doc Gives Free Cancer Screenings
This weather feels like the perfect time to get a tan, but with skin cancer on the rise, one should think twice before baking in the sun.   

In honor of skin cancer/melanoma awareness month, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Hauppauge offered free skin cancer screenings to locals Thursday. 

HIA Asks Town for $1.2M in Road Improvements
Hauppauge Industrial Park businesses have asked Town of Smithtown officials to search their pockets to come up with $1.2 million in desperately needed roadway improvements. 

The newly formed Hauppauge Industrial Park Advisory Committee of the HIA-LI has reached out to town officials asking them for more than $800,000 in roadway improvements with another $300,000 for street lighting.
