Man Involved in Fatal 2011 Crash Sentenced
Exactly two years after a Brooklyn man stole 30 pairs of jeans from Tanger Outlet Mall and proceeded to get in a high-speed chase with police – resulting in a fatal crash that took the life of a Hauppauge School District teacher – a judge sentenced him to prison on Thursday.

Rock-N-Roll University to Jam at Citifield
It's been two years since Hauppauge's Rock-N-Roll University hit the local scene with the opening of their store on Rt. 111 and the place has no signs of slowing down with upcoming date to play before the Mets Game at Citifield.

Owner Paul Schreier said the performers from the school will be there on Sept. 10.

Plans for Route 347 Gas Station Move Forward
A new gas station on the corner of Route 347 and Route 111 is one step closer starting construction after Smithtown Town Board's Thursday night meeting. 

Smithtown officials voted 4-1 to approve a change of zoning for Garden-City based Bolla Operation Corp, who hopes to build a 16-pump gas station and convenience store on the busy intersection. 

$1M Winning Lottery Ticket Purchased at Islandia BJ's

A Centereach woman is the lucky winner of scratch-off ticket that was recently purchased in Islandia.

Pamela Dyber, 56,of Centereach, won the $1 million top prize on the the New York Gold scratch-off game from a ticket purchased at BJ’s Wholesale Club on Old Nichols Road in Islandia.
